How weddings have changed in the decades! From your handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a simple wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
While we’re talking about aforementioned, wedding speeches are still an important part of a wedding and guests do look forward to hearing them, discussing them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of groom speech delivered ahead of the meal, in the meal and after your food, yet it is of a strong opinion that this wedding speeches needs to be delivered as soon as the meal. I realize that for several wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father with the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they would choose to hold the wedding speeches prior to the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are paying for it!). However, is going on the invited guests and just how a lot of them (as well as the wedding venue staff) would prefer the marriage speeches being delivered following your meal for most reasons, a few of which include:
The invited guests have been fed and watered and aren’t paying attention to wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which may be so prior to meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival at the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served on the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches ahead of the meal as well as their is actually a delay of Fifteen minutes to at least one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy always keeping food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches become the transition from the meal to the dancing (with nothing happening following your meal, people are expecting ‘a few words’ to get shared regarding the Bride & Groom and they understand they’re able to stand up, move about, have a break, take a stroll, see a bar…)
It can be hard for folks in the Bride & Groom to communicate in in public areas, the majority of them would not be used than it. So, they may, should they so wished, speak ahead of the / their meal.
There should be some form of formal wedding speech(es) after the meal…
