How weddings have changed within the decades! From your handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a simple wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Speaking of aforementioned, wedding speeches are still a fundamental part of a married relationship and guests do look ahead to hearing them, talking about them before, during and even after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, in the meal and after your food, however it is of a strong opinion how the wedding speeches should be delivered after the meal. I am aware that for a lot of wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father in the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (5 main speakers), they would choose to possess the wedding speeches before the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are spending money for it!). However, is going on the invited guests and the way many (as well as the wedding ceremony venue staff) would rather the marriage speeches to become delivered as soon as the meal for a lot of reasons, many of which include:
The invited guests have already been fed and watered and aren’t listening to wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which may be so ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival with the wedding venue)
Food may be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches prior to the meal in addition to their might be a delay of A quarter-hour one.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
Wedding ceremony speeches become the transition in the meal towards the dancing (broke happening after the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared about the Bride & Groom after which it they understand they can stand up, move, take a rest, go for a walk, go to the bar…)
It can be hard for folks with the Bride & Groom to speak in public, as most of them would not be used from it. So, they could, should they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.
There should be some type of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
