Any time must the perfect wedding speech be presented…?

How weddings have changed over the decades! From your handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a simple wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; one-three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.

Speaking of aforementioned, wedding speeches continue to be an important part of a married relationship and guests do anticipate hearing them, talking about them before, during and even after they’ve been delivered.

We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered ahead of the meal, in the meal after your food, however it is of your strong opinion the father of the groom speech needs to be delivered after the meal. I understand that for many bridal party speakers i.e. Father of the Bride Speech, Father of the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they would want to contain the wedding speeches prior to the meal, to enable them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are paying for it!). However, it’s all about the invited guests and how many of them (and even the wedding venue staff) would like wedding ceremony speeches to be delivered as soon as the meal for several reasons, some of which include:

The invited guests have been fed and watered and are not listening to wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which will be so ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival at the wedding venue)
Food may be cooked and served on the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches before the meal in addition to their could be a delay of Quarter-hour to 1.5 hours, driving the kitchen staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches become the transition from your meal on the dancing (broke happening after the meal, folks are expecting ‘a few words’ to get shared about the Bride & Groom after which they know they can get up, move, take a break, take a stroll, visit the bar…)
It can be difficult for fogeys in the Bride & Groom to talk in public areas, since most of them may not be used from it. So, they can, should they so wished, speak ahead of the / their meal.

There should be some form of formal speech(es) following the meal…
