A fresh 2016 Christmas rock track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key goal of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day site .
The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the track over a 6 week period. The songs includes 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the best result and quality. The music ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main goal of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they’ll be good enough to contribute to one or every one of the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
Another main goal is to be able enough downloads of the tune to help fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will present free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous methods to help including a Thailand Accommodation and budget flights to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
