It has been 5 years since Sami went to France to handle his studies in engineering. He could be courageous, ambitious, smart, and highly sensitive. Sami returns to Lebanon 3 times each year, in April, August, and December.
Nada, his mother, is 55 yrs . old and will not work. When Sami announced to her that he could be likely to Paris to review, she was proud but additionally anxious. Scared and worried, she started sleeping less at night, considering how her son would survive life in France. From the cold to girls to food, everything worried her.
Before Sami left, he showed his mother utilizing Skype and promised to call occasionally to update her on his life, but he wasn’t sure this be enough.
Nada spent plenty of her days awaiting that Skype notification to determine and speak with her son. August 2017. Sami recently landed in Lebanon and goes home to see his parents. He looks at
his mother’s face and sees something different: she is smiling and appears relaxed.
What has happened since 2012
Combined with the technological advancements, WhatsApp was brought to the planet. This was revolutionary in several ways. Surprisingly, it changed Nada’s life. She actually is a quick learner and received a smartphone as a gift from her son. Sami is now able to share many specifics of his life along with her. Instantaneously, through voice messages, she will hear his voice any time during the day. She will also video-call him even if he is on the street, in the different country. Sami sometimes shares pictures of his lunch, weather, a write-up of clothing he desired to buy, and even photos of his new girlfriend. Whenever she gets anxious, she sends Sami an email, and many of the time, she receives an
instantaneous response.
Technology has been criticized a great deal lately being a reason why individuals are becoming distant, but in some cases, specifically for people living abroad, it has changed their lives.
