Since these standards were formally unveiled in June 2010, though, they have been the topic of much controversy within the U.S. educational world. Current President-elect Donald Trump, for instance, has pledged to remove them as one of the first issues that performing as president.

The major problem, say critics in the Common Core, is because they attempt to institutionalize a “national curriculum” for states and local districts. Simply speaking, they are saying, government entities is intending to consider over what’s taught in the state and local level.
